During our walk along the Green Belt in Constantia at Peddlars, we encountered this little gem. This was after an hour’s walk through the green belt, just after entering Lower Tokai Forest.
I was not aware of the existence of this place and was pleasantly surprised. Not only do they serve coffee but also some snacks and refreshments, exactly what hikers and cyclists will need on these pathways through the forest. I just loved the fact that there were bagels and toasted sandwiches on the menu too.
It is also a perfect spot under the trees to enjoy a good rest and conversation.
Hikers, birders and cyclists have something in common, a love for the outdoors. So, it’s easy to engage in conversation with your fellow travellers at places like these. I find that people share information readily about other places they visited. So, take the time to engage and so learn more about what Cape Town has to offer.
